Our Story

Sue and I met online in June of 2006.  Our first date was in P-town.  We quickly fell in love and got engaged a little over a year later back where it all started.  We will be married in Boston at the State Room over looking Boston Harbor.

Making It Legal

We got our marriage licence at Newton City Hall!  It was such a great feeling that we could actually go in and stand next to the other couples and get a licence.  It was very empowering and made this all feel very real!

Rings

We picked up our wedding rings!  They are awesome.  Mine is an adaptation of my grandmothers wedding ring.  Sue got an eternity pave band to match her engagment ring.

 Flower Girls

Sue's niece (mine soon!) and my best friends daughter will be our flower girls.  My best friends Mom will be sewing the girl's dresses.

Baby Sophie's dress, she will be 4 weeks old at the wedding and will match her  big sister Allie and new friend Allison!

Alison at her fitting!  I love how they are coming out.  They will be hemmed just below the knee.

The dresses will be the style of the yellow dress but the length of the white one.  The main dress will be a light blue dupioni silk with a chocolate brown sash and ribbion accents.

Fabric Swatches (we got a great deal and got the silk on sale for $12.99/yard)

Maids

Sue and I will each have one bridesmaid.  My best friend Michelle will stand up for me.  Sue's sister Beth will be standing up for her.  Both are the Moms of our flower girls.  We let them pick their own dresses and they could be either blue or brown.

Beth's dress it will be blue with a brown bow

She is due with her second child 3 weeks before the wedding (good thing her Mom is a seamstress!)

 Hair-The Trial

Take 2

Our Hairdresser flaked on us so we had to find a new stylist 4 weeks before the wedding.  We found Gina Joubert through knot reccomendations and she is awesome!!  She is also our photographer's next door neighbor, small world!  We actually like our 2nd trial better!!!!

I haven't decided if I want to wear my hair up or down but I like the large loose curls in the pictures above.
